Cabin Workshops are held on my outdoor covered dye deck and inside the air conditioned cabin so we will be comfortable! 

 $150 CAD CLASS FEE (No Tax) per student 

includes Luncheon, coffee and tea.

8 strips of presoaked wool and a skein of yarn to dye.

I supply the liquid dye solutions for the workshop.

How the day will go-

1. I will introduce my dye system and talk about how it started. Starting with the color wheel I will explain how to easily understand it The Wooly Mason Jar way and how all there colors can be made using 3 Primary colors. 

2. I will be explaining dyeing using my simple method in mason jars. . We will discuss how to handle and mix the dyes safely, preparation of wool, etc. I will prepare our liquid dye solution from the 3 Primary Colors using pre labeled jars. Student will learn my simple color wheel explanation while I work. This is where things really click! Students will follow along and help out if desired.

3. Hands on swatch dyeing on stovetop/hot plate and microwave. Also yarn dyeing in the microwave and stovetop. This is the fun part! 

4.  Dye cards, dyes, gram scales, ladles and accessories available for sale in limited quantity after presentation or can be pre-ordered and I will set them aside. 10% discount to student. Complete Mega Dye kit regular $253 with Color Wheel included. Class price $225 with discount applied. All prices Canadian funds.

5. Printed notes will be provided along with links to special videos for you to refresh yourself at home online.

Do you have photos you would like to turn into rug hooking pattern? This Zoom class may be for you. 

I teach the basic geared towards rug hookers/punchers. I show you how to easily trace your photo, choose your color palette, simply the values, enlarge and print using free apps.

We will use our own brain, no AI here. I feel it is important to do this ourselves to develop brain muscle memory so that when it comes time to hook you will already know where the value changes are and have chosen the color so hooking is easier.
